Day Four ~ First Light
There is an assignment on National Geographic titled "First Light". It's about capturing the light and shadow of the sunrise, the first couple of hours of sunlight. I had been up all night the night before and I decided instead of going to bed, to watch the sun come up, but it had rained the night before and it was kinda wet and muggy. I couldn't find anything interesting to shoot. I have two weeks to enter, so I'll try again, and again. | Lensbaby Muse, Single Glass Optic, Creative Aperture. |
Day 5 ~ Shadows
| Here are some shots I took with the Lensbaby wide angle lens at about 2 in the afternoon. I find the lens gives the black and white a lovely mysterious tone. My Composer was shipped today, can't wait to try it! I've been shooting with Lensbaby and my old Canon Rebel Xsi. I will probably switch to my new Canon Rebel T5 with the composer. I had the Muse attached to the Rebel and didn't feel like changing it. I like having 2 cameras to switch, cause the Lensbabies are so manual. Day 6 ~ Get off of my Grill
Day 7 ~ Daddy's Home!
My husband came "in" from working 2 weeks offshore and I captured him walking our dog Angus. He gets so excited to see him, as I do! Still shooting with my Canon Rebel Xsi and Lensbaby Muse with Double glass optic and Wide Angle Lens, this time using Creative Heart Aperture, I did change color settings and contrast for a more dramatic prism of light. I find the Lensbaby shoots better in black and white. Below are more images taken in the forest that surrounds us and our other dog, Behr. We have 3 dogs, (Angus, Behr and Tzu), 7 cats and countless chickens. Planning on getting a couple of goats soon! |
