It's funny how when I'm shooting and judging from the 3 inch photo-view on my camera, I think I know exactly which images I'm going to choose from to post. Then when I get home and upload them to the computer, I'm sometimes disappointed in the ones I thought I "nailed" and surprisingly "happy" with ones I thought I'd eventually have to delete!
Today was "one of those days"!
I'm trying to improve on my "macro" shots. Which is very difficult with the Lensbaby Muse! I love the lens, but it is too flexible for some macro shots and almost impossible to "hold" the focus on these delicate images. However, being a Lensbaby and having the soft blur, makes it seem more "artistic" than a "motion blur". I'm hoping to purchase the "composer" one day and eliminate that problem, but until then, I must practice on those macro shots! I spent a couple of hours while doing laundry this morning, trying to get dew drop shots off of flowers at the Library next door. Like I said, when looking through the viewfinder, I thought I was getting some decent shots? NOT! I just need more practice and time though. I don't think I'm far from accomplishing this goal! Hopefully I will able to do it with the Lensbaby lenses I have. They are the only macro lenses I have to work with. I want to enter a contest at Viewbug for "Magnified Photography", the prize is a Tamron Lens! Exactly what you need for such a shot! WISH ME LUCK!
