Lensbaby Composer Pro with Sweet 50 Optic
My Composer finally came in and I was able to try it out. I am very excited at the fact that you can adjust the aperture with the ease of dialing it left to right and visa versa. With my muse I would have to manually change the aperture piece, attaching it to the optic. The focus is steady and that being said, I am not quit used to it yet. I am used to fixing the focus as I shoot, so I forget to move it to where I need it sometimes, thinking I'm using "normal" lens. I think my first shots came out great! I really need to take this baby "out" to a beautiful landscape or cityscape for truly awesome effects!
I came across some pics I took this spring in black and white. I thought the depth of the tone made them wonderfully artistic. When you think of Spring, you think "color", lots of beautiful color. However, looking through these images made me "feel" the crisp fresh air of a cool Spring day. Sometimes it's good to see beyond the "color"....
I will be posting images straight out of the camera every day for 21 days and then write a review on the Canon T5. I do have 30 days to send back if not satisfied, but I doubt that will happen, I'm having a pretty good time with this cam so far. I think this is a great camera for the person on a budget, who wants professional success. .
Review to follow, after I've had a few days to play with it. but I likey so far :)
Every once in a while, I look back on some of my old sd cards and revisit some of the images I have saved. It's funny how you can go over and over sd cards and always find something new. I don't know why I've never published this image, I obviously thought the tree was amazing! I was probably taking a lot of pictures of trees at the time and just somehow ignored this one?
This image is from 2011, taken at Fontainebleau State Park, St Tammany Parish. I edited in dhdr sepia orton effect. I love the highlights of the moss, the tree seems to be reaching out to speak to you, and sepia is a perfect tone for Oak, it gives it that "antique" feel as Oaks often imply. I think I may be looking over some more sd cards while categorizing and filing them in some sort of system I can deal with. Right now they are in a ziploc bag! YIKES!! Anyways.....Check out this beautiful State Park if you are ever near Mandeville, Louisiana, just before you cross the Causeway going South to New Orleans. Great nature photography hike. :)
