ALL RIGHTS RESERVED © leapdaybride 2014 ![]() Every once in a while, I look back on some of my old sd cards and revisit some of the images I have saved. It's funny how you can go over and over sd cards and always find something new. I don't know why I've never published this image, I obviously thought the tree was amazing! I was probably taking a lot of pictures of trees at the time and just somehow ignored this one? This image is from 2011, taken at Fontainebleau State Park, St Tammany Parish. I edited in dhdr sepia orton effect. I love the highlights of the moss, the tree seems to be reaching out to speak to you, and sepia is a perfect tone for Oak, it gives it that "antique" feel as Oaks often imply. I think I may be looking over some more sd cards while categorizing and filing them in some sort of system I can deal with. Right now they are in a ziploc bag! YIKES!! Anyways.....Check out this beautiful State Park if you are ever near Mandeville, Louisiana, just before you cross the Causeway going South to New Orleans. Great nature photography hike. :) I just added some textures to my "texture" stock gallery at deviantArt, Check out the slideshow, FREE to download! ![]() Today was such a beautiful day and I'm glad I spent some of it outdoors doing laundry and enjoying the first signs of Spring! I did have to work this weekend, but at least I had a few hours with the sun and shooting the beautiful blooms in the library garden next to the laundry. I snatched a Camellia bloom and attached my macros and was peacefully taken in by the majestic scene in my viewfinder. I actually giggled out loud a few times while snapping. The flower was actually quite vibrant in pink, but I did love the grace and elegance the sepia tone added. Signing off on Day 22, ~leapdaybride Canon Rebel Xsi, Lensbaby Scout (double glass optic, wide angle lens w/ 4x macro), sepia tone. RAW image. |
